Welcome to the one-woman virtual instrument shop! I make sounds for your everyday music magic making. I use technology to create virtual instruments
with character, for composers and music-makers, pros and beginners alike.
To do this I draw from tales and taboos - superstitions, extinct animals, mysterious maps - as starting points to create samples with a story. I fuse raw acoustic instruments with lost and found sounds to create multi-layered virtual instruments like you've never heard before.
The instruments look as good as they sound: I want you to have fun in navigating the playful interfaces.
Let's face it, sample libraries have been a bit elusive and elitist up til now! We want to encourage everyone to hone your originality and we’ll walk you through it (one crunchy step at a time).

Recorded in the Highlands of Scotland, this rustic toolkit ‘reeks’ (stinks, in Scottish) of character. Ethereal and raw, FOLKLORICA is my first sample library in the shop and has been blessed by my pagan granny and plenty of bad weather, ensuring to give your music rural vibes. I’ve sampled the historic nyckelharpa (keyed fiddle), bagpipes, bodran, a hexed fiddle and a variety of bothies and junk. Real salt of the earth stuff.
